URBAN Streets of Alicante - Spain
This is a 2 day street photography workshop where you will be taken to great sites for street shots in the city of Alicante, Spain.
Our street photography workshop will introduce you to some of the practical and technical considerations about street photography. Before taking off, we will talk about how to move around the city scape, the legal aspects of streetphotography practice and how to put it in to action.
During the workshop we will discuss and practice, some different aspects and approaches to street photography including: Abstract elements, contrast, patterns, graphic designs, light...
Itinerary
We will beggin in the morning with a cup of coffee and share our personal work as a way of introduction. A review of your work can be held seperately if needed. We will then look at examples of street photography by other nown photographers to provide inspiration and discuss the ways one can approach subjects as well as themes to look out for on the street.
Some goals will be proposed for the workshop but one is free to set his own.
After a quick technical check-in we will head out to take some photographs. Van will be shooting alongside of you, offering tips and suggestions but we will also spread out some in order to not cause to much atention.
We will stop for lunch in a tipical spanish restaurant for paella or calamari. After lunch we'll continue shooting. During the afternoon session you'll be working on assignments or practicing techniques and approaches. in search of textures, shadows, backlight, movement, etc.
Meeting place and shooting locations
We will call it quits at around 17:30. After we finish feel free to hang around for a drink, or do your own thing. All is welcome.
Shooting locations are chosen for the opportunities they provide for street photography and also a cultural trip.
Workshop hours are 9:00 - 17:30.
We meet at the hotel in Alicanate so we do not have to wonder around. From there we will take off.
What do we need to bring:

A digital camera that you know how to use.

A wide-angle lens (or a zoom that has a wide angle setting) 28mm or 35mm is perfect.

Plenty of space on one or two memory cards and a few fully charged batteries.

Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, water bottle...
Liability
Van takes a reasonable care in the conduct of the workshops he teaches, but streetphotography sessions conducted in public places can involve risk of personal issues. Van will provide indications to minimize risks. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the workshop and must at all times take care of your own personal safety.
Van accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused to you during the workshop. He will not be liable for any other fate that befalls you.
What does the workshop include
When you book for this workshop you are booking a package that includes 3 nights stay in the Villavieja hotel in Alicante, Spain. We will have 2 full days of streetphography downtown Alicante with a lunch breack included. (10h aprox).
The following day we will have a get together at our meeting point for a critique of a selection of the work we have accomplished. During the afternoons you have free time to do your own thing, Whether you want to do some more photography or visit the town.
You will be incharged of getting from the airport to the hotel where we will all meet up in the morning for breakfast and get to know each other. From there we will set out to capture some moments.
The workshop fee covers tuition, guidance and feedback during the workshop. All other costs (transport, food and drinks) are your responsibility. (except for programed lunches).

This is a 2 day street photography workshop where you will be taken to different markets in Alicante where the photographs of UNVEILED where taken. (This workshop requires of a good level of streetphotography experience).

LANDSCAPE
LA ALBURFERA
Valencia, Spain



This is a 3 day / 4 night photography workshop where you will be taken to one of the most distinctive surroundings of the province of Valencia.
Day 1: La Albufera. Here we will embark on a tipical boat and will be taken through an incredible and unique landscape treasure. The entire experience is a cultural and beauty treat that still remains in many ways as it was 40 years ago.
DAY:2 The second day is free. We will get together at noon for lunch and talk about the experience of La Albufera, share some pictures and comment. For the rest of the day you are free to do your own thing. Get to know the city, take some street photography, do some shopping, visit the castle of Santa Barbara.
DAY:3 We will be going to Salinas de Santa Pola. Similar routine to the one of La Albufera.
Breackfast together at 9:30. Leaving at 10:30 in our van. We will be spending the day photographing Las Salinas and its suroundings stoping at different locations.
After lunch at 14:30 in Santa Pola, we will head back to Alicante with a few stops on our way back to Alicante.
You will be taken to the hotel and where we will say goodbye.
Itinerary

We will then take off in our van for a 1.20h trip down to La Albufera. Once there we will have a look around and hop on one of the local gondolas for a photo shoot from the water. We will stick around and have lunch in a restaurant near by. After lunch we can enjoy the surroundings or have a rest until the afternoon and if we are lucky we will be able to see and photograph a great sunset.
After this we will head back to the hotel in Alicante.

About the Salinas of Santa Pola
The Salinas of Santa Pola are famous for their salt mines. Due to the salt mines there is a very distinctive pink / redish colour in the water that makes the landscape incredibly unusual and beautiful.
We can also see Flamingos in the area that makes the scene even more desired.
